6 Rooftops with Splendid Views of Vilnius

Vilnius Rooftops - Neringa

All it takes is a gentle summer’s promise, +20 degrees or sometimes even less, for locals to occupy outdoor areas with an ice-cold Aperol spritz in hand. For that, there’s no other place quite like Vilnius, where you can bask in the sunshine and do so from one of its prettiest spots to take in the city views. Yes, we’re talking rooftops.

Choose between hotel rooftop bars or laid-back venues, all dotted throughout the central areas of Vilnius.

Neringa

Neringa encompasses all things modern. The rooftop’s clean interior invites people to a legendary venue called Neringa. Stemming from the iconic restaurant that’s been popular for decades and continues to attract guests, its rooftop has a terrace bar with a wide selection of cocktails, light snacks, and salads. On top of that, its venue offers almost a 360° view of Gediminas Avenue and around the central city’s artery.

Radisson Collection Astorija

Astoria’s roof terrace, located behind the town hall, offers a view like no other. It’s unique because the top of it is one of the highest buildings in that part of the area, which means the outlook is rare. Order a prosecco and head up to the hotel rooftop during the second part of the day. Illuminated by the evening sun, it is a perfect place for a romantic date or an intimate gathering, as the space is relatively small.

It is often a choice for evening drinks and more significant events like wedding ceremonies, festive dinners, or simply cozy evenings after work.

3 Mūzos

3 Mūzos Rooftop Bar is one of the newer spots on the roof of the Lithuanian National Drama Theater. You can access it through the gastro bar-cafe Nacionalinė on Gediminas Avenue. The bar sells drinks and meze-type dishes. As it is located on the main avenue, the ambiance is unprecedented due to the theater’s spirit and the Cathedral’s vista. It also has a specially-made spot for all Instagram lovers to take a photo or two.

ETM terrace

An expanded roof terrace has been opened at the Museum of Energy and Technology, where the Elektrinė café has moved. It is also known as the ETM terrace. After the museum’s working hours, visitors can take the elevator to the fifth floor above the former power plant. During July, it hosted various concerts by local musicians, so look out for their monthly agendas.

OPERA Social House

OPERA Social House is the hippest one on the list. View-wise, you get the scenery of both the glitzy skyscrapers of the downtown and the old town. Order a pizza, grab a craft beer, and be ready for a dance as they host various musical and less mainstream events.
